Introduction:
We are seeking a senior marketing scientist to join our global advanced analytics team. In this highly autonomous role, you’ll lead the design and execution of advanced analytical solutions that inform strategic decision-making for our clients. You’ll leverage your deep technical expertise and market research experience to drive innovation, mentor junior analysts, and deliver impactful, data-driven recommendations.

Responsibilities:
- Partner with research, sales, and client stakeholders to translate business objectives into clear analytical approaches, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Lead end-to-end scoping within approved project scope, including framing business questions, defining hypotheses, and recommending appropriate methodologies, escalating scope changes, commercial commitments, and pricing to AA/DS leadership.
- Act as a key analytics partner in Brazil, supporting commercial and research leads in client engagements, effectively collaborating with non-technical stakeholders and building strong
- Provide consultative guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from early-stage solutioning through final delivery and interpretation.
- Serve as a lead analytics practitioner, independently designing and executing advanced quantitative methodologies, including segmentation, brand tracking, pricing and elasticity modeling, conjoint and MaxDiff, ad and concept testing, claims substantiation, driver analysis, media mix modeling, and attribution.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of analytical projects, ensuring methodological rigor, reproducible code/workflows, documented QC, quality, and business relevance.
- Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights, with strong storytelling tailored to senior stakeholders by clearly explaining the mechanics behind models and analytical approaches, ensuring transparency and stakeholder confidence in results.
- Design and develop AI-enabled analytics solutions (e.g., analytical agents, automated insight generation, decision support tools) leveraging LLMs or similar technologies, using approved tools within Toluna governance standards and validating all outputs.
- Identify opportunities where AI can enhance productivity and insight quality across data preparation, modeling, validation, and reporting.
- Partner with engineering, product, and analytics teams to help operationalize solutions at scale by contributing analytical requirements, validation input, and feedback on repeatable tools and workflows, supporting repeatability and efficiency.
- Champion automation and standardization, reducing manual effort and improving consistency across engagements.
- Support the development and adoption of AI governance practices, including responsible use guidelines, bias detection and mitigation, guardrails and evaluation approaches, and documentation standards, escalating privacy, compliance, and governance questions to the appropriate owner.
- Ensure all analytical and AI-driven outputs maintain high standards of quality, transparency, and ethical integrity.
- Balance innovation with rigor, ensuring new approaches are credible, defensible, and client ready.
- Contribute reusable improvements—documented method notes, templates, code components, automations, or QC enhancements—and share them for adoption across AA/DS and other Toluna teams.
Your profile:
- 5+ years of professional experience in data analytics, advanced analytics, marketing science, or market research roles — including conjoint, MaxDiff, segmentation, driver analysis, pricing, and statistical/AI modeling — ideally in a client-facing or consulting environment.
- Bachelor’s or master's degree in data science, statistics, economics, computer science, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven ability to lead analytical projects end-to-end, from scoping and problem framing through delivery, including stakeholder management and quality control.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with non-technical stakeholders (e.g., research, sales, clients), translating business needs into analytical solutions.
- Fluency in Portuguese & English is required.
