Overview

In this Senior Lead Cybersecurity Architect role at JPMorgan Chase, you design and guide secure architectures across software applications and platform products. You translate business and regulatory needs into robust security patterns and reference architectures. You lead risk assessments, threat modelling, and security design reviews, shaping secure SDLC practices.

You work with global teams to balance security with innovation in cloud, AI/ML, and mobile domains. This role offers impact at scale within a renowned financial services firm.

Responsibilities
  • Lead evaluation and implementation of cybersecurity principles, processes, and controls across technology assessments
  • Provide cybersecurity architecture guidance to support business and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity reference architecture
  • Act as subject matter expert in cybersecurity for technology teams and business partners
  • Conduct security assessments, threat modelling, and risk assessments on design proposals
  • Advocate for firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices within secure Software Development Life Cycle
  • Influence technology decisions by improving implementation patterns and architectural design
  • Ensure security of modern technologies including public cloud, AI/ML, mobile
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for security design and implementation
  • Partner with Global Technology and other teams to oversee security design and implementation
  • Contribute to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Key requirements
  • Formal training or certification in architecture concepts
  • 5+ years of applied experience
  • Background in infrastructure, system administration, and secure software development lifecycle (desired)
  • Experience in security products, risk management, information security standards, and incident response methodologies
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages or scripts
  • Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity architecture and at least one technical discipline (e.g., public cloud, AI/ML, mobile)
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise networking and network security controls
  • Understanding of Identity and Access Management systems (SSO, OAuth, SAML, AD/ADFS, PAM, RBAC)
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Professional interaction with diverse groups, including executives
  • Leadership or mentorship experience
