Senior JDE Business Analyst

Role Summary The Senior Business Analyst develops integrated solutions to resolve complex technical and business issues and has a significant role in the analysis, development and implementation of major systems. Key Responsibilities Performs business analysis through compiling and analyzing data. Gathers and documents business requirements collected from customers and 3^rd^ party vendors.

Writes functional and/or technical specifications based on business requirements. (25%) Executes all aspects and phases of testing initiatives for moderate to large sized system implementations and/or enhancement projects. Writes test scripts and works with customers to tests system upgrades/fixes to ensure the system matches the business requirements. (25%) Creates OMW projects, collaborates with our 3^rd^ party development providers or authors ERW reporting. (20%) Works with 3^rd^ party vendors to gather and analyze business and system requirements for new releases. Assists with technical and/or business design solutions to ensure the system meets the business requirements. (15%) Applies updates, corrections, additions, and handles migrations to new platforms for existing software. (10%) Reviews project documents developed by Junior Business Analysts.

Mentors Junior Business Analysts and Business Analysts by coaching techniques to gather requirements. (5%) Key Working Relationships Senior Management Provides status updates on a regular basis Communicates recommendations to improve company processes and methodologies Financial Systems Manager Provides status updates on a regular basis Recommends improvements to Company processes and methodologies Tracks progress and notifies management of issues that require escalation 3rd Party Vendors Provides assistance and updates to customers on incidents and inquires Gathers and analyzes business requirements and interprets business needs Information Technology Department Works collaboratively to gather project requirements Business Analysts Provides guidance, training and knowledge support to team members Key Role Skill Sets Application knowledge and proficiency in JDE EnterpriseOne 9.1 Understands and cand utilize ERW Understands basic SQL Knowledge of EDI, FTP, and fundementals of SQL interoperability Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Knowledge of BAI Form Integration, WSG, Lawson Process-oriented with sound judgment, attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through Strong oral and written communications skills Ability to interact with all levels of management and staff Must be able work both independently and as part of a team Strong customer service orientation Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Ability to balance multiple demands and prioritize demands Education & Professional Qualifications A Senior Business Analyst candidate will have, at minimum, the following qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related IT field Professional Experience: 7+ years experience in implementing and/or maintaining systems 3+ years of JDE EnterpriseOne experience or with financial systems Experience with integrating packaged solutions using a service-oriented approach This job description indicates the general nature and level of the work being performed by employees in this job.
