Senior IT Audit Data Analitics

Main Purpose

Development, coding and maintenance of databases, reports, KPIs, and automated tests that support established audit scopes (requiring proficiency in SQL, BW/BO, SAP, Azure Databricks, Power BI, and SAP Analytics Cloud).

Review of business processes, controls, accounting records, and large data volumes individually or together with the operational auditors with the objective of identifying risks, ensuring accurate financial records, evaluating the efficiency of internal controls, assessing operational effectiveness, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and applicable regulations.

Key Responsabilities

• Development, coding and maintenance of analytical solutions that support Internal Audit processes.
• Identification and implementation of continuous improvements in data analytics tools and processes.
• Technical support for implemented solutions, ensuring performance, reliability, and sustainability.
• Collaboration with global technology teams, contributing to technical and strategic discussions regarding solutions and enhancements.
• Active participation in global data migration projects, ensuring that any potential impact on the Internal Audit tools availability are mitigated and that solutions remain aligned with new target environments.
• Definition of the Internal Audit data architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and adherence to industry best practices.
• Collaboration with global stakeholders to align technology initiatives with audit objectives and business priorities.
• Review of processes, controls, accounting records, audits part of the audit plan, and data analytics to identify risks, assess internal control effectiveness, ensure compliance, safeguard assets, and support the achievement of business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information systems, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in Digital Transformation initiatives.
• Nice to have: 3 years of experience in business process.
• Industry experience in Chemicals, Manufacturing, Retail, Oil & Gas, and Pharmaceutical sectors.

Knowledge

• Experience in Azure Databricks
• Advanced SQL skills
• Knowledge of notebooks, clusters, jobs, and data lakes
• Ability to create reusable and high-performance queries
• Experience working with large data volumes
• Proficiency with CTEs, window functions, aggregations, and dynamic filters
• Familiarity with SAP environments (ECC, BO, BW)
• Knowledge of Power BI (Desktop and Service)
• Intermediate DAX skills
• Understanding of Star Schema design
• Ability to create dashboards

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI/BI tools (Databricks Genie or similar)
• Ability to structure prompts with appropriate context, parameters, and expected output format
• Understanding of AI hallucination risks and the importance of human validation
• Experience creating and maintaining prompt libraries

Language Requirements

• Professional English is required, including the ability to discuss technical concepts in meetings with users and cross-functional teams.
• Spanish is a plus, but not mandatory.
