Senior/Lead Mobile Developer - iOS (Swift) focused Can be based out either Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, or Bristol – 2 days per week £67,000 – £76,000 + comprehensive benefits A growing digital consultancy is looking for a Senior/Lead Mobile Developer to join its Software Engineering practice at Lead Consultant level. This is a hands-on leadership role within multidisciplinary teams delivering transformative mobile solutions across public and private sector clients. You’ll shape mobile strategy, lead architecture and delivery, and play a key role in ensuring applications are scalable, secure, high-performing, and aligned to real user needs.

The Role You will: Lead the technical design and delivery of complex mobile applications Drive modern mobile architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture) Make informed technology decisions across native and cross-platform solutions Mentor and guide senior and mid-level engineers Collaborate with clients, designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust mobile solutions Ensure engineering best practices across security, accessibility, offline capability, and store compliance Support bids and proposals, articulating mobile strategy and technical direction Represent technical excellence in workshops, discovery sessions, and client engagements What We’re Looking For Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Mobile Engineer delivering complex mobile apps Strong native development expertise in Swift (iOS) Experience with Flutter (Dart) and cross-platform development (including state management and platform channels) Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bitrise, Fastlane, GitHub Actions) Experience integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL, Firebase, and local persistence solutions (Room, CoreData, SQLite) Knowledge of release lifecycles, automated testing (unit, UI, integration), and beta distribution tools (TestFlight, App Center) Benefits Competitive, transparent salary 25 days holiday + UK public holidays Contributory pension (6% employer / 2% employee) Life assurance, critical illness cover, death-in-service cover Flexible benefits package (private medical/dental options, additional pension, extra holiday purchase, wellbeing funds, charity contributions, tree planting options) Volunteer days Cycle-to-work scheme Electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme Season ticket loans Access to retail and lifestyle discounts Wellbeing and financial support sessions Relocation support up to £8,000
