Senior Inventory Accountant

In this role you drive inventory accounting and controls to underpin financial integrity. You’ll bridge finance, supply chain, and operations to translate stock movements into actionable insights and protect margins. • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory reporting including COGS and stock valuation with ledger reconciliation
• Prepare complex GL entries (standard cost adjustments, SLOB provisions, PPV analysis)
• Reconcile physical inventory, sub-ledgers, and WMS to ERP modules and resolve discrepancies
• Oversee cycle counting and coordinate annual physical counts with warehouses and auditors
• Manage end-to-end costing (standard, FIFO, or average) and investigate variances
• Support month-end and year-end closes with proactive cut-off issue resolution
• Act as primary contact for external auditors on inventory and costing, with robust audit papers
• Design and implement internal controls over inventory to reduce risk and improve efficiency

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent)
• End-to-end inventory accounting experience in manufacturing, retail, or distribution
• Strong IFRS and local GAAP knowledge (IAS 2)
• Advanced ERP proficiency (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite)
• Excel mastery for large data sets
