Overview We’re looking for a recently qualified accountancy professional who’s ready to take on their next challenge. This role reports directly to the Head of Group Reporting & Analysis and plays a vital role in improving visibility of business performance. You will assist in delivering a sustainable and timely set of monthly Group management accounts in Microsoft Excel to enable visibility of business performance.
Responsibilities Assist in the delivery of a sustainable and timely set of monthly Group management accounts on a consolidated basis for actuals, forecast and budget scenarios, following FRS 102 accounting principles. Include Group P&L (by nature and destination), Group Balance Sheet (net asset and net debt basis) and Group cash flow (direct and indirect) with relevant drill downs to analyse performance against budget, prior forecast and prior period Include relevant financial and non-financial commentary, working with the UK Finance Director, International Finance Director and Corporate Overheads (FP&A Manager/Analyst) to inform stakeholders of key historical and forecast performance messages Merge current management reporting numbers with historical statutory numbers to ensure there is one version of the truth Ensure management accounts information is sufficient to satisfy banking obligations and review key KPIs and covenants reporting Assist with the Group intercompany reconciliation process in conjunction with the Group Financial Control team, liaising with subsidiaries to reconcile related parties Complete analysis on key trends and KPIs across the group, and review cash generation and forward covenant positions within the management accounts commentary Assist with the Group budget process, ensuring this is completed in a timely manner Projects Review current management accounts process with the aim of continual improvement, targeting accounts produced no later than +3 days from receipt from the business As a Gleeds team member, you will have access to Opportunities to develop and grow your career A contributory pension scheme Employee Assistance Programme Our global travel scholarship programme Flexible working arrangements Who we’re looking for Experience, Knowledge And Key Skills Experience, Knowledge And Key Skills Understanding of the interaction of financial and accounting transactions within the global, multi-entity, multi-currency group environment. Experience working in a global finance function including exposure to Group consolidation processes Initiative to work in both a team environment and individually Flexibility to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to make pragmatic judgments with incomplete information while pursuing continuous improvement Strong Microsoft Excel modelling experience Experience of PowerBI reporting and ability to build new reports Strong process orientation and a process mindset Fact-based communication and decision making Attention to detail and willingness to delve into the detail Ability to work with imperfect information and strive for improvement Experience with complex systems and processes and ability to optimise Strong initiative and curiosity about better ways to perform tasks Excellent communication and collaboration skills Qualifications ACA or ACCA qualified #J-18808-Ljbffr
