About the Job Proxima Aerospace is actively recruiting a Senior Geospatial Research Analyst / Production Manager to support mission-critical operations at US Army Garrison Miami / U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM). This position requires strong capabilities in leading geospatial analytic production, managing multi-analyst workflows, integrating complex data sources, and delivering timely, mission-relevant intelligence products in support of operational and strategic decision-making.

The Senior Geospatial Research Analyst / Production Manager serves as both a technical subject-matter expert and production lead, ensuring analytic rigor, consistency, and alignment with commander priorities across Enhanced Domain Awareness (EDA), maritime, space, air, and land mission sets. U.S. citizenship, along with the ability to successfully pass a background check for access to U.S. military bases, is required for employment. The successful candidate will have an active TS/SCI clearance.

Work Setting Onsite – US Army Garrison Miami / SOUTHCOM HQ Potential travel up to 5–15% of the time Responsibilities Lead and oversee geospatial analytic production supporting SOUTHCOM operational, planning, and exercise requirements. Manage daily analytic tasking, prioritization, and workload distribution across analyst teams. Ensure all analytic products meet required standards for accuracy, timeliness, classification, and operational relevance.

Conduct advanced geospatial analysis including pattern-of-life assessment, trend analysis, anomaly detection, and change detection. Integrate and fuse multi-source datasets, including open-source, commercially derived, and government-provided data. Coordinate with engineers and data teams to incorporate new data feeds, analytic tools, and automated detections into production workflows.

Develop and refine repeatable analytic methodologies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and production playbooks. Track analytic risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted production. Serve as a primary analytic interface with government leads, operators, and partner organizations.

Prepare and deliver written products, briefings, and visualizations for senior leadership and operational stakeholders. Mentor junior analysts and support professional development within the analytic team. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), GIS, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated experience (typically 7+ years) conducting advanced geospatial analysis in operational or intelligence environments. Proven experience managing analytic production, workflows, or teams in a mission-driven setting. Advanced proficiency with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and web-based GIS applications.

Strong understanding of geospatial data types, spatial analysis techniques, and cartographic standards. Experience producing executive-level briefings and written analytic products. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities within defined cost, schedule, and performance constraints.

Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Combatant Commands, Joint Task Forces, or interagency operations. Background in maritime domain awareness, space domain awareness, transnational threat analysis, or regional security missions. Experience integrating AI/ML-derived detections or automated analytics into geospatial workflows.

Familiarity with cloud-based GIS and data platforms. Prior experience working with partner nations or multinational environments. Active TS/SCI clearance.
