About this role Reporting to the Manager, Finance Operations, you will mainly lead restaurant and courier partner statement processes by overseeing direct reports and facilitating partner promotions, garnishments, and related transactions.
You will support the Operations and Strategic Initiatives team, manage and forecast spend, and provide ad‑hoc data and operational support. Working with internal and external stakeholders, you will resolve issues and perform month‑end closing activities. In addition to reporting, analysis, and general accounting, you will deliver automation and efficiency projects in collaboration with Restaurants, BI, and Technology teams.
Location: Hybrid – 3 days a week from our Winnipeg office & 2 days working from home Key responsibilities Financial analysis & growth: analyze the key drivers of growth and profitability at Skip, understanding their interaction with partner KPIs. Partner statement management: oversee the weekly restaurant statement cycle, including processing, statement adjustments, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in reporting under strict deadlines. Month‑end & compliance: support month‑end closing activities, review journal entries, and contribute to financial performance input.
Process automation & improvement: review and improve process performance, proactively identify and drive opportunities for efficiency by testing outcomes and managing support tickets. Strategic projects: participate in and lead projects focused on efficiency, automation, strategic alignment, and support the launch of new business verticals. What you bring CPA designation with 3‑5 years of proven operational experience.
Logical analytical problem‑solving skills that spot trends and identify key drivers. Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets. Experience with SQL and/or data analysis tools (Tableau/PowerBI) is an asset.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with other departments. Highly adaptable and passionate about process optimization and internal controls. Understanding of risk and impact of proposed process/policy changes and proposed campaigns.
