Overview Senior Financial Analyst with commercial construction experience to join our growing team. This highly visible role blends traditional FP&A responsibilities with operational partnership, supporting project performance and strategic decision-making across the business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a data-driven environment, enjoys Excel and BI tools, and seeks growth opportunities within a collaborative organization. What You'll Do Own FP&A processes โ€“ Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles; Deliver monthly and quarterly variance analysis with actionable insights; Build and maintain advanced financial models in Excel. Partner with Operations โ€“ Work closely with project managers and operations leaders to drive profitability; Analyze job costs, margins, and project performance; Support bid reviews and pricing decisions with financial insights. Leverage Data & Analytics โ€“ Develop advanced Excel models, dashboards, and reporting tools; Utilize BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) to visualize performance and trends; Improve reporting automation and accessibility across teams. Construction-Focused Financial Analysis โ€“ Manage and analyze WIP reporting, revenue recognition, and project forecasting; Apply knowledge of construction cost accounting to monitor and evaluate project financials; Track cost trends, change orders, and contract performance; Support cash flow forecasting tied to project timelines. Drive Process Improvements โ€“ Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and enhance data quality; Partner with finance and IT on systems improvements and reporting enhancements. What We're Looking For 3-4 years of experience in FP&A or financial analysis Commercial construction industry experience required Solid understanding of: Construction cost accounting (required); Job costing and project-based accounting; WIP schedules and construction financials; Revenue recognition (percentage-of-completion preferred) Strong expertise in: Advanced Excel (must-have) โ€“ financial modeling, large datasets, complex formulas; Business Intelligence tools (preferred) โ€“ Power BI, Tableau, or similar Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, Oracle, etc.) is a plus Strong communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
