Job Description
Senior Financial Analyst (Corporate and Systems) Responsibilities Own and maintain the ConcertAI budgeting and forecasting system – Workday Adaptive Planning. Develop and enhance budget and forecast models and associated connections to NetSuite ERP and OfficeConnect reporting. Manage external resources for model and dashboard improvements.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget. Prepare accurate and insightful financial reports, presentations and dashboards for senior management and stakeholders. Present complex information clearly to facilitate data‑driven decision making.
Consolidate financials and summary reports for monthly business reviews (MBR), budgets, forecasts and three‑year plans. Ensure timeliness and accuracy. Partner with corporate functions (IT, HR, Legal, Accounting, Marketing, Facilities, etc.) to provide monthly reporting with financial insights and support for strategic initiatives and capital investments.
Assess risks and opportunities and provide quantitative analysis. Develop and implement KPIs and metrics to monitor corporate performance and track progress against financial goals. Work with department heads to set and monitor targets.
Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate impact of strategic initiatives and provide recommendations. Analyze and interpret financial results, highlighting key variances against budget, forecast and prior periods. Identify trends and recommend improvement and mitigation strategies.
Work cross‑functionally with Finance, Accounting, Sales Operations, Product Management, Operations and senior management to synthesize information, align stakeholders and stay up to date on trends. Collaborate with Human Resources to own and maintain the employee roster for labor cost forecasting. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive compensation data.
Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies in financial analysis, systems and reporting. Identify opportunity for process improvements and automation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; master’s degree or certification (CFA, CPA) preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, including adaptive administrator, model and/or formula development. Prior financial planning, analysis, modeling or related FP&A role with demonstrable track record of delivering strategic insights. Experience in high‑tech, revenue‑generating biotech, life sciences or SaaS organization; understanding of PE or VC‑backed entities.
Strategic thinker with proactive mindset to identify opportunities, risks and improvement areas. Team collaboration: proven experience working cross‑functionally and building stakeholder relationships. Strong analytical, quantitative skills and deep knowledge of financial analysis and modeling techniques (Pivot tables, Power Query, Power BI, advanced Excel).
Expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning; experience with Adaptive Planning is essential. Sound business acumen, understanding of finance principles and industry dynamics; ability to translate data into actionable insights. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience presenting financial information to executives.
Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
