Job Title Senior Engineering Designer Job Location US-SC-Piedmont Overview The Senior Engineering Designer assists in coordination of engineering projects and helps oversee all design phases. This role involves performing engineering calculations, interpreting drawings and specifications, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution. Key Responsibilities Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work in part or in total of a major project.

Work on all phases of design and be involved in industry‑related services of a project. Perform engineering calculations, interpret drawings and specifications. Prepare proposals including scope, schedule and fee; assist in written technical proposals.

Develop professional relationships through active participation in industry associations and community involvement. Coordinate the work of multiple engineering disciplines and perform drafting/CADD work as needed. Demonstrate strong design knowledge.

Train and develop less experienced staff. Conduct site visits to gather data, including measurements, sketches, notes, and photographs. Review and approve shop drawings and ensure that they meet project requirements.

Read and interpret technical documents necessary for job performance. Consult and coordinate with other practices and sub‑consultants as required to ensure project success. Attend bi‑weekly or more frequent meetings with the project team to discuss project progress and tasks.

Ensure that all projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements and operate within specified budget parameters. Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting project scope. Achieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization targets.

Comply with all company policies and procedures. Complete other duties as required or assigned. Education and Skills Required Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET‑Accredited Program. Strong proficiency in design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Revit. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Good communication and technical writing skills. Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to think critically. Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations Required Ability to maintain required certifications. Preferred Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations Professional Engineer (PE) eligibility.
