Senior Electrical Project Manager

Job Description Job Description Job Title: Electrical Project Manager – Data Center / Mission Critical Location: Richmond, VA Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead large-scale data center and mission-critical electrical construction projects in Richmond, VA. This role requires a proven leader with strong technical expertise, financial oversight skills, and the ability to manage complex projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout. Key Responsibilities Manage electrical construction projects for large data center and mission-critical facilities Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control Lead project teams including engineers, coordinators, and field supervision Coordinate with owners, general contractors, designers, vendors, and subcontractors Review and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation Ensure compliance with contract requirements, drawings, specifications, and safety standards Track project progress and proactively mitigate risks and schedule impacts Support commissioning, energization, and turnover of critical electrical systems Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and provide regular project updates Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager in commercial or industrial construction Significant experience managing large data center and mission-critical projects Strong knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, and critical infrastructure Experience managing multi-million-dollar electrical scopes Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work on site in Richmond, VA Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Experience with fast-track and highly coordinated project environments Background working with major data center clients or hyperscale facilities What We Offer Competitive compensation package (commensurate with experience) Opportunity to lead high-profile data center and mission-critical projects Long-term career growth with a stable and expanding organization Collaborative, team-oriented work environment
