Senior Electrical Engineer (Contract)
Sigma Design has collaborated with a medical technology company seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team in Bothell, WA. This position is contract or contract-to-hire, with an expected duration of at least one year. This role is inâoffice.

Primary Function:
The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the development of complex medical electronic systems and provides technical leadership and electrical design support throughout all stages of product development. This role leads boardâ and systemâlevel electrical development in an FDAâregulated environment, with a strong focus on innovation, quality, and performance.
Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design efforts across the full development lifecycle, including requirements definition, architecture, circuit design, layout, bringâup, system integration, testing, debugging, verification, deployment, and support
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in analog, digital, signal processing, and lowânoise subsystem design
- Perform architectural, systemâlevel, and circuitâlevel electrical design
- Develop project plans, including scope, requirements, schedules, and resource needs
- Provide meses technical leadership on major projects and resolve complex technical challenges
- Develop verification plans and execute electrical design verification testing
- Guide critical product decisions to balance performance, schedule, cost, and quality \Model has been accidentally repeated in the list. Make sure each item reflects a unique responsibility.
- Assess, communicate, and drive resolution of technical risks, tradeâoffs, and design options
- Apply broad knowledge of electronic engineering principles, practices, and procedures to complex assignments with crossâfunctional dependencies
- Work crossâfunctionally with mechanical engineering, software development, experience design, program management, and other engineering disciplines
- Coordinate internal teams, external partners, vendors, and thirdâparty suppliers to deliver product solutions
- Develop and manage relationships with external engineering resources and suppliers
- Prototype and evaluate new technologies
- Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences

Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)

- Minimum of 6â8 years of experience as an electrical design engineer in medical device or consumer electronics environments
- Experience leading complex product development from inception through launch
- Strong working knowledge of systemâlevel design, including analog frontâend, A/D acquisition, digital signal processing, and complex electronic subsystems
- Experience working in an FDAâregulated product development environment preferred
- Proven ability to manage conflict constructively and build strong crossâfunctional769; keep rightful text.
- Strong analytical and problemâsolving skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation

Work Environment
Standard office environment with normal amounts of തനŕľŕ´ąŕľ officeârelated conditions. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients, or suppliers.
