Senior Drupal Developer

About the role As a Drupal Developer with expertise in Database and SQL, Drupal, JavaScript, CSS and HTML you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust solutions for our Cards and Payments domain. With a hybrid work model and day shifts you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our digital platforms ensuring seamless user experiences and driving innovation in the financial sector. In this role, you will: Design and implement scalable architecture solutions for the Cards and Payments domain ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements translating them into effective technical solutions. Develop and maintain high-quality code using Drupal, JavaScript, CSS and HTML ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards. Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity through efficient SQL queries and database design.

Integrate Symphony 2 with Drupal to enhance the functionality and performance of web applications. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies applying them to enhance our digital platforms. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in the Cards and Payments domain. Ensure the security and compliance of web applications adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Document technical specifications and architectural designs facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration. Contribute to the overall success of the company by delivering high-quality solutions that enhance user experiences and drive business growth.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Phoenix, AZ. What you need to have to be considered Posses a strong understanding of database design and SQL with the ability to optimize performance and ensure data integrity. Demonstrate expertise in Drupal and Symphony 2 with a proven track record of developing and maintaining web applications. Exhibit proficiency in JavaScript, CSS and HTML with a focus on creating responsive and user-friendly interfaces.

Have experience in the Cards and Payments domain with a deep understanding of industry standards and regulations. Show excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently. Display strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.

Applications will be accepted until 04/25/2026 The annual salary range for this position is between $110.000 – $131.500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
