Job Description
The Senior Director, Supply Chain is responsible for developing and leading the end-to-end supply chain strategy andexecution for a vertically integrated freshproduce business operating greenhouse,field, packaging, and distribution operationsacross Canada and the United States.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer(COO), the Senior Director, Supply Chain willoversee supply planning, strategic sourcing,inventory management, logistics, the Sales& Operations Planning (S&OP) process, andmaster data management. The incumbentwill lead a team of more than 30 employees(including eight direct reports), comprisedof a director, managers, professionals, andtechnical specialists.
This role will serve as a key strategicpartner in supporting the company’sambitious growth strategy, includingexpanding production capacity, developingnew greenhouse facilities, and enteringnew markets.

This is a critical leadership role in thecompany’s next phase of growth. The SeniorDirector, Supply Chain will play a pivotal role
in building the infrastructure, processes, andcapabilities required to support the company’scontinued expansion, including its objectiveof doubling the business, expanding into newmarkets, optimizing working capital, andcreating sustainable long-term value.
CORE RESPONSABILITIES
Supply Chain Strategy and Leadership
- Develop and execute a multi-year supplychain strategy aligned with the company’sgrowth objectives.
- Build scalable processes, systems, andorganizational capabilities to supportrapid expansion.
- Lead organizational development,succession planning, and talentmanagement within the supplychain function.
- Foster a culture of accountability,continuous improvement, collaboration,and data-driven decision-making.
- Act as a transformational leader toelevate the maturity of the supplychain organization.
- Lead the monthly S&OP process andensure alignment among Sales, Operations,Finance, Procurement, and Production.
- Improve forecast accuracy and planningdiscipline across the organization.
- Drive proactive capacity planning tosupport growth and seasonal demandfluctuations.
- Develop scenario planning and riskmitigation strategies for supply anddemand volatility.
- Improve alignment between customerdemand and operational capabilities.
Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
- Lead sourcing strategies forpackaging, greenhouse inputs, fieldproduction materials, ingredients,and indirect spend.
- Establish strategic supplierpartnerships and negotiate favorablecommercial agreements.
- Develop supply risk management andsupplier diversification strategies.
- Identify and execute cost reductioninitiatives while maintaining qualityand service standards.
- Optimize supplier performance acrosscost, quality, delivery, and innovation.
Planning & Inventory Management
- Oversee demand planning,supply planning, and inventorymanagement processes.
- Optimize inventory levels whilemaintaining customer service targets.
- Improve inventory turns and workingcapital performance.
- Implement tools and processes thatenhance visibility and planning accuracy.
- Develop a proactive approach tomanaging excess inventory, waste,and perishable products.
Logistics & Distribution
- Lead transportation and distributionstrategies across Canada and the UnitedStates, including the management ofcustoms broker relationships.
- Optimize freight costs and networkefficiency while maintaining serviceexcellence.
- Ensure robust cold-chain managementand product integrity throughout thedistribution network.
- Support expansion into new markets andcustomer channels.
- Develop a network strategy thatsupports future growth.
Fresh Produce & Agricultural Supply Chain
- Collaborate closely with greenhouse andfield operations to align production planswith customer demand.
- Develop strategies to maximize productavailability while minimizing waste andshrink.
- Improve planning processes related tocrop cycles, harvesting schedules, andperishability management.
- Ensure strong traceability and supplycontinuity across all operations.
- Support the improvement of forecastingand alignment between production,harvest planning, and customer demand.
- Champion the development andutilization of ERP, planning, andanalytics tools.
- Establish meaningful KPIs and reportingfor executive leadership and ownership.
- Lead continuous improvement initiativesfocused on service, cost, inventory,and productivity.
- Leverage data analytics to improve decision-making andoperational performance.

Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply ChainManagement, Operations, Engineering,Business, Agriculture, or a related field.
- 12+ years of progressive supply chainleadership experience.
- Minimum 5 years leading multiple supplychain functions at a Director or SeniorDirector level.
- Experience within food production, fresh produce, agriculture, consumerpackaged goods, or related industries.
- Experience managing complex,multi-site operations.
- Demonstrated success leading S&OP andintegrated business planning processes.
- Strong procurement and logisticsleadership experience.
- Experience supporting significantgrowth, operational transformation,or expansion initiatives.
- Experience in a private equity-backedenvironment is highly desirable.
- Cross-border Canada-U.S. supply chainexperience strongly preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in both French andEnglish, spoken and written; Spanish isconsidered an asset.
