Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Development leader to drive new customer acquisition and expand strategic relationships within the biopharmaceutical and life sciences industry, with a strong focus on late‑stage development and commercial CDMO services. This role supports business across Phase II, Phase III, PPQ, and commercial readiness, partnering with clients whether or not they are already in commercial production. Key Responsibilities Identify, evaluate, and close new biopharmaceutical business opportunities focused on late‑phase and commercial CDMO services Sell commercial manufacturing capabilities to clients in Phase II, Phase III, PPQ, or pre‑commercial stages Manage the full business development lifecycle: prospecting, relationship development, RFP solicitation, proposal development, negotiations, and contract closure Expand existing client relationships and grow strategic accounts Deliver technical capabilities presentations and commercial proposals to prospective clients Coordinate and lead client site visits, technical discussions, and quality audits Support scientific and strategic partnerships, collaborations, and long‑term commercial agreements Collaborate cross‑functionally with executive leadership, scientific teams, quality, contracts, and operations Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and reporting within CRM systems Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade shows, and scientific meetings Travel up to 50%+ to client sites, conferences, and internal locations Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or related field 9+ years of business development experience in the life sciences or biopharmaceutical industry Proven CDMO business development experience, including late‑phase and commercial programs Demonstrated success selling technical, complex services with long sales cycles (3–6+ months) Strong experience in RFPs, proposals, negotiations, and contract execution Experience managing opportunities involving multiple internal and client stakeholders Strong understanding of biopharmaceutical manufacturing and regulatory environments (or ability to learn quickly) Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills Willingness and ability to travel extensively
