Senior Development Chemist

Job Description Are you an experienced scientist with a strong background in innovative chemistry work? Our client is looking for a Senior Development Chemist that helps make ideas a reality. If you're passionate about chemistry and being the leading driver in developing new chemical products then this could be for you.\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing\n\nYou will be in the lab helping to develop a proof of concept for a customer's requirements before working to turn that into a full-scale manufacturing operation.

In order to do that you will be expected to:\n\n* Liaise with clients to understand their needs\n\n* Innovate new ideas to best suit those requirements\n\n* Develop and synthesise new chemicals in the lab to act as a proof of concept\n\n* Work alongside Production, Quality and other relevant departments to take that concept up to pilot plant and then manufacturing scale\n\n* Assist developing analytical methods and techniques to monitor progress of reactions and analyse final product to ensure it meets our client's high standards\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n\nEssential\n\n* Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.\n\n* Experience in organic synthesis and scaling up from the lab all the way through to full manufacturing.\n\n* Must have thorough knowledge of HSE requirements, specifically the handling of hazardous chemicals in various package sizes.\n\nDesirable\n\n* Previous client facing experience.\n\nIf you are interested, please send your CV across to George Thomson at
