Senior Developer (Java and React)

Job Description Senior Developer – Java & React, Glasgow Responsibilities Design, develop and evolve trading, risk management and regulatory platforms to support investment banking. Collaborate with traders, strategists, compliance and IT to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions. Implement new features, enhancements and functionalities on trading platforms to improve performance, reliability and user experience.

Maintain high‑performance trading platforms, risk systems and applications. Stay updated on technological advancements, industry trends and best practices to drive innovation. Address system issues and implement solutions in partnership with cross‑functional business‑aligned teams.

Qualifications & Skills Strong full‑stack engineering with backend depth and UI ownership. Hands‑on problem solving in complex enterprise environments. Data‑driven development and system traceability.

Experience with Cloud & DevOps concepts. Testing and quality mindset. Effective communication with stakeholders.

Knowledge of risk and controls highly valued. Expectations & Leadership Drive strategy, requirements and recommendations for change. Plan resources, budgets and policies; manage processes and deliver continuous improvements.
