Job Description
Job Title: Senior Data and PMO Analyst About the Role: This role is for a Senior Data Analyst with strong PMO experience and hands-on Jira Administration expertise. They will sit within the PMO team structure. This role is responsible for aggregating and modelling data from multiple sources (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, DevOps, SharePoint, Excel, SQL, QA, other sources), producing trusted portfolio insights, and enabling decision‑making.
You will own data definition, ensure data quality and integrity, and partner with delivery teams and PMO to drive transparency, predictability, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Data Aggregation & Modelling Aggregate and normalize data across multiple sources Define and document core operational metrics and KPIs by function developing a trusted Data Dictionary. Design and maintain robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
Implement data quality controls and governance. Analytics, Reporting and Insights Build and maintain dashboards for leadership and functional teams. Tell the story of the data by distilling complex information into clear insights Provide actionable insights using metrics such as velocity, throughput, lead time, productivity and other useful metrics.
Ensure single source of truth. Jira Administration & Tooling Governance Administer all aspects of Jira such as Jira projects, boards, workflows, issue types, custom fields, screens, permissions, notifications, and automation rules. Integrate Jira with other systems for effective data aggregation and manage add‑ons.
Manage full suite of data tools including BI Tools. Partnership and Governance Partner with Technology, Customer Experience and other departments to ensure metrics reflect reality. Establish data quality checks, documentation, and refresh cadences.
Enable risk and dependency management through consistent data capture and cross‑team visibility. Continuous Improvement & Enablement Identify process and data quality issues; implement fixes, standards, and training materials. Coach delivery teams on data hygiene, metrics literacy, and tool usage.
Document data dictionaries, lineage, and reporting standards; maintain an operating playbook. Experiences and Skills: Essential Bachelor’s degree in Data/Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience. 12 to 15 years of experience in Data Analytics or Business Intelligence roles, ideally with PMO/Portfolio or delivery environment Jira Administration expertise (projects, workflows, schemes, automation, permissions). Strong proficiency with at least one BI Tool and building scalable semantic models.
Hands‑on ETL experience: SQL, APIs, CSV/Excel ingestion, and data transformation. Solid understanding of Agile delivery metrics and PMO governance (status, RAID, financials, milestones). Advanced Excel Ability to translate ambiguous stakeholder needs into clear data products and narratives.
Strong critical thinking skills is organized and quality focused. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment. Must be able to travel internationally several times a year.
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. Familiarity with Python for data processing and automation. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (dimensional modelling, slowly changing dimensions).
