Senior Data Analyst

Overview We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst with strong expertise in data analytics, SQL, Power BI, and Excel . This role involves working with large datasets, building insightful reports, and delivering data-driven recommendations to support business and operational decisions. This is a primarily remote role with onsite presence required 4–5 times per month in Oakland or Dublin, CA.

Responsibilities Analyze complex datasets and develop customized reports and dashboards Build and enhance Power BI dashboards to track KPIs and business performance Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for data extraction and analysis Perform predictive and what-if analysis to support strategic decisions Develop and maintain metrics, KPIs, and analytical models Present findings and actionable insights to stakeholders and leadership Manage small to mid-size projects and ensure timely delivery Support regulatory filings and reporting using large-scale customer and financial data Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives 4+ years of experience in Business Analysis / Data Analytics Qualifications Strong expertise in: SQL (advanced level) Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Data Analysis) Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to work with large datasets and multiple data sources Experience managing projects and working with stakeholders Experience in the utility or energy industry (highly preferred) Knowledge of regulatory reporting and financial/customer data analysis Familiarity with tools such as SAS, Business Objects, Power Automate Experience in market research, KPI tracking, and operational analytics MBA or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field (required) Master’s/MBA (preferred) Candidates must be local to the Bay Area or willing to relocate Hybrid role with 4–5 onsite visits per month Client laptop will be provided (personal phone required) Opportunity to work on large-scale data and analytics initiatives Exposure to utility/energy sector projects Collaborative environment with high visibility to leadership #J-18808-Ljbffr
