Position Overview : We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Commercial Manager to lead the marketing and sales of agricultural commodities across international markets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and expanding our global customer base, managing key commercial relationships, and driving profitable trading activities involving Rice, Sugar, Pigeon Peas, Raw Cashew Nuts (RCN), Sesame Seeds, Soybeans, Coffee, Cocoa, Shea Nuts, and other agricultural commodities. The role requires extensive experience in international commodity trading, strong market intelligence, a proven commercial track record, and the ability to independently originate and execute business opportunities, including High Seas Sales transactions. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and manage strategic relationships with buyers, importers, processors, distributors, and government procurement agencies worldwide. • Market and sell the company’s commodity portfolio across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. • Originate and execute High Seas Sales transactions and identify profitable trading opportunities. • Negotiate sales contracts, pricing mechanisms, payment terms, and commercial agreements. • Expand the company’s international customer network and open new markets. • Coordinate with trading, logistics, operations, finance, and documentation teams to ensure smooth contract execution. • Monitor global commodity markets, supply-demand dynamics, freight markets, and competitor activities. • Manage the full commercial cycle from prospecting and negotiation to contract execution and payment collection. • Participate in international trade exhibitions, conferences, and industry events to strengthen market presence. • Prepare market intelligence reports, sales forecasts, and business development strategies for senior management. • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, company policies, and contractual obligations.
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, International Trade, Commerce, Economics, Agriculture, Finance, or a related discipline. • Minimum 10–15 years of proven experience in international commodity trading and commercial sales is mandatory. • Demonstrated success in selling and trading agricultural commodities across international markets. • Strong understanding of commodity trading structures, Incoterms, international contracts, Letters of Credit (LCs), CAD transactions, shipping documentation, and trade finance instruments. • Proven experience handling High Seas Sales transactions. • Established network of international buyers, importers, processors, and trade participants. • Ability to independently generate and close commercial opportunities. • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. • Excellent commercial judgment and analytical capabilities. • Fluency in English is mandatory. Additional languages will be considered an advantage.
