Senior Civil Engineer

Senior Civil Engineer Location: Leicestershire Full Time | Permanent An established independent engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their growing Civils team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of infrastructure and development projects , from local highway improvements to large residential and commercial developments . You will play a key role in design delivery, project coordination and mentoring junior engineers .

The Role You will be involved in the design and delivery of highway and infrastructure schemes , including: • Highway junction design (roundabouts, signalised junctions, ghost island right turns, priority junctions) • Road design including vertical and horizontal alignments • Drainage strategies and flood risk assessments • Delivering designs from concept through to detailed design • Preparing technical reports and design documentation • Supporting and mentoring junior engineers • Liaising with clients, local authorities and stakeholders Projects range from small highway improvement schemes to multi-million-pound development sites . About You ✔ Degree in Civil Engineering or similar ✔ Around 8+ years post-graduate experience ✔ Experience with highway and infrastructure design ✔ Experience delivering Section 278 / Section 184 designs ✔ Knowledge of local authority and National Highways processes Software experience with: • AutoCAD • Civil 3D • Vehicle Tracking • KeyLINES / SIGN / POST • Flow or MicroDrainage Knowledge of: DMRB | Manual for Streets | LTN 1/20 | NRSWA | S278 | S38 | S104 Chartered status (or working towards ICE / CIHT / CIWEM ) is advantageous.
