We are seeking a driven, self-motivated Senior Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help build and scale pipeline for our enterprise SaaS solutions. This isn't a typical SDR seat. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and wants more than a traditional SDR position.
As the sole SDR on a lean, senior sales team, you'll have direct visibility into the full sales cycle from first outreach through to close, working shoulder-to-shoulder with experienced enterprise sellers. For the right person, this is a deliberate stepping stone. Full-cycle exposure here isn't a perk it's the path.
We're looking for someone who wants to earn their way into an Account Executive role by experiencing what it takes to close, not just fill a top-of-funnel quota. The company is established and expanding, which means you're not building on sand - there's a proven product, real customers, and a market that's ready. What's missing is the pipeline horsepower to match the opportunity.
That's where you come in. Primary Responsibilities Pipeline Generation & Prospecting Own and execute outbound prospecting across email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels Identify and engage key decision-makers within target enterprise accounts through a mix of outbound outreach, referrals, events, and creative prospecting Build and manage a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities from scratch Leverage modern GTM tools, including AI-driven prospecting platforms, to scale and optimize outreach Qualification & Meeting Generation Qualify inbound and outbound leads against ICP and business fit Book high-quality first meetings for senior sales executives Continuously refine messaging, sequences, and targeting to improve conversion rates Event & Field Prospecting Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and events Proactively and confidently engage target prospects in person Generate and convert event-based interactions into qualified meetings and pipeline Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Marketing to align on campaigns, messaging, and target accounts Provide feedback on lead quality, campaign performance, and market response Collaborate with sales executives to align on account strategy and opportunity development Market Intelligence & Continuous Improvement Stay informed on industry trends, competitive positioning, and buyer needs Experiment with new tools, techniques, and outreach strategies to improve performance Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity tracking in CRM systems Capability Requirements – Education, Skills & Experience Post secondary education, with a degree in marketing or business administration Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related commercial role Proven ability or strong aptitude for outbound prospecting and pipeline generation Experience selling or supporting SaaS solutions with a background in MarTech or selling into retail/eCommerce organizations an asset Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability Commercially curious and interested in how businesses operate and make buying decisions Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Can operate both independently and as a collaborative team player in a lean, fast-paced environment Willingness and enthusiasm for in-person networking and event-based prospecting Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) Experience with outbound prospecting tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Dripify, Sales Robot, Kixie) Strong ability and desire to leverage general AI tools (eg. ChatGPT, Claude), along with specific AI-based prospecting tools (eg.
Tapistro), to enhance research, personalization, and outreach at scale The hiring salary range for this position is $ 70,000 - $80,000 CAD per year (base salary) . This range reflects the scope and responsibilities of the role and is aligned with current market benchmarks and internal pay equity.
