Job Description
Senior Business Analyst (HEA00342) As a member of the Finance Technology EPM team, you will play a key role in optimizing and advancing Agnico’s Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platform, contributing to the development of future‑ready, automated finance processes that deliver solid returns on technology investments. Responsibilities Maintain a holistic view of business processes and user needs to assess impacts across system configuration, workflows, and reporting. Support the ongoing enhancement of global planning models, financial reporting, and embedded analytics used by management at all levels.
Collaborate with end users across mine sites, regional teams, and corporate functions to ensure efficient and consistent use of the EPM platform. Support internal customer relationships by developing performance management solutions. Evaluate and prioritize features and initiatives based on business value, customer impact, and resource capacity.
Develop and improve global planning models (budget/forecast/LOM) and financial reports for management at various levels. Gather and document business requirements, ensuring clarity and understanding of objectives. Analyze data sets to derive actionable insights, identify trends, and support decision‑making processes.
Identify inefficiencies in workflows or systems and propose solutions to optimize business processes. Create detailed documentation of requirements, workflows, and outcomes, including business requirement documents (BRDs) and user stories. Collaborate with IT and design teams to ensure technical solutions align with business needs and enhance user experience.
Execute training sessions with end users to maximize impact from the overall technology stack in use. Create test cases and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate solutions meet requirements. Maintain cross‑enterprise relationships and communications with mine sites, corporate and regional teams addressing planning and analysis models in the company’s EPM systems.
Support the development and maintenance of the global data management program to provide reporting and analytics using the EPM stack of technologies. Participate in various projects and initiatives that further corporate strategy and goals as outlined in the department’s action plan. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, IT, or a related field of study.
CPA, CMA, CFA, or MBA qualification. 1-3 years of relevant experience in business analysis or a related role. Experience implementing or acting as an advanced end user of EPM solutions such as Oracle Hyperion, OneStream, Anaplan, or equivalent. Experience using visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Fluency in French is considered an asset. Familiarity with AI and ML concepts. Familiarity with Databricks or a similar tool.
Work Schedule 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from our Corporate Office in Toronto, ON. Recurring visits to site are required (~30% travel). Compensation Base salary and potential bonus opportunity.
