Senior Business Analyst

Role Description The Senior Business Analyst will play a key role in translating complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements for AI and data-driven solutions. This contract, remote role involves engaging with stakeholders to understand current processes, documenting business requirements, and identifying opportunities where AI can streamline workflows or improve decisions. Day-to-day tasks include conducting detailed process analysis, mapping current and future state workflows, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure solutions are aligned with business objectives.

The Senior Business Analyst will prepare clear documentation, support testing and validation of solutions, and help clients adopt new ways of working by providing insights, training support, and continuous feedback. The role also involves contributing to project planning, risk identification, and ongoing improvement of delivery methods in a client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Strong PMO experience including coordinating stakeholders, leading workshops, preparing status updates and supporting Steering Committees
• Strong Analytical Skills to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and support evidence-based recommendations.
• Proficiency in Business Analysis, including requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews, and solution scoping.
• Effective Communication skills to present findings clearly, facilitate workshops, and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with Business Process mapping, optimization, and documenting current and future state workflows.
• Ability to define and manage Business Requirements, including functional and non-functional specifications for AI or data solutions.
• Experience working with or alongside technical teams (data scientists, engineers, product managers) in AI, analytics, or software implementation projects.
• Background in financial services or insurance, with familiarity in core operations, risk, underwriting, or customer experience processes.
• Comfort working in a remote, contract capacity, with strong self-management, time management, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is beneficial.
