Senior Business Analyst

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a 12-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer. Work Location Key Tasks Lead and facilitate requirements gathering for program features and enhancements, including but not limited to registration history Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements Translate business needs into clear, technically actionable requirements Document workflows, data requirements, dependencies, and constraints Support assessment of solution options and impacts, where required Maintain traceability between business needs, requirements, and downstream decisions Support program operational documentation, including maintenance of the Operations Manual and related artifacts Develop and maintain operational logs and supporting documentation Perform document librarian functions, including version control, organization, and accessibility of program documentation Support data reporting analysis, including: System and application health reporting Executive-facing and Health Canada facing reporting Analyze and document API implementations and system integrations Produce and maintain integration and interface documentation Support enhancement intake by analyzing requests, sizing effort at a high level, and documenting impacts Ensure consistency and alignment across requirements, operational documentation, and reporting artifacts Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies across program features and operations Support working group discussions and decision-making through clear analysis and documentation Update and refine artifacts iteratively as requirements and operational needs evolve Provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders, including summaries of work completed, key risks, dependencies, and upcoming priorities, and support governance or stakeholder discussions as requested. Key Qualifications Minimum 7 years BA experience in complex enterprise environments with some healthcare, medical regulatory, or not-for-profit exposure Demonstrated experience eliciting and documenting business requirements, process flows, and operational documentation Experience analyzing and documenting system integrations and APIs with comfort working alongside technical teams Other Qualifications Experience working on software releases and operationalizing support processes.

Experience with executive and regulatory-facing reporting artifacts Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies and tools (e.g., process mapping, use cases, requirements traceability). Integration and API analysis/documentation Data analysis and structured reporting definition Familiarity with software implementation life cycles (Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid). Proficient in MS Office, Teams, Visio, and business analysis tools.

Understanding of change management principles and frameworks A bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field. Assets Familiarity with government-funded projects or pan-Canadian initiatives is a strong asset. Business Analysis (e.g.

CBAP) PMP, Agile (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe), Prince2, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or Black Belt. Compensation Rate Negotiable This is an existing position vacancy.
