Job Description

Senior Business Analyst, Data Integration Location: Boston, in-office CoStar Debt Solutions is building a new platform for commercial real estate underwriting where credit officers, data pipelines, and AI agents work against the same shared data model. We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to own the data path from external systems into our platform and, over time, own the path agents use. Responsibilities In year one, you will stand up API integrations that bring a bank’s loan book, a sponsor’s portfolio, or a vendor’s market feed into the system.

In year two, you will design agent-callable surfaces, creating typed contracts that agents can use. You will: build and maintain REST and GraphQL endpoints that ingest and export customer data, ensuring data quality and idempotency manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the API connections—including scoping, credentialing, cutover, monitoring, alerting, version upgrades, and support make mapping decisions between source-system fields and our data model for both ingestion and export handle error scenarios, rate limits, pagination, schema drift, and authentication expiration without escalating every edge case to engineering monitor health, alerting, and version upgrades and coordinate with customer IT when credentials rotate or schemas drift decide which integrations remain pipeline-only and which become agent-callable tools Basic Qualifications 7+ years building and operating production API integrations, in both directions (REST, GraphQL, webhooks, OAuth, ETL) Experience managing API connections as customer-facing assets, scoping with IT, security review, and acting as the named contact when a pipeline misbehaves Strong opinion on pagination, rate limits, schema drift, auth expiry, and bad data handling Script-writing proficiency in Python, Node, or equivalent, and ability to ship end-to-end integrations Understanding of typed data models and why production-grade integrations require more than moving rows from A to B Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution A track record of commitment to prior employers Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with CRE data sources (e.g., FIS, CoStar, Intex, Yardi, MRI) Curiosity about large language model agents and the interface between agents and the systems they call Experience with agent-callable tools, or a genuine interest in exploring what an agent needs from an integration that a pipeline doesn’t provide Growth Path First year: integration-heavy with real customer APIs, deadlines, reliability, and round-trips. Second year: shift toward agent-driven workflows, making the integration surface the foundation for agent routes.

What’s Unusual About This Role Unlike typical integration roles that stop when data appears in a table, our role covers integration relationships, ensuring data flows both ways and builds the foundation for future agent workflows. What’s In It for You CoStar Group offers a collaborative culture, performance-based incentives, academic growth opportunities, and a generous benefit package.
