Job Description
Sr BA Location: Ottawa, ON (Hybrid – 4 days onsite per Month Contract: 2 years + strong renewal potential Rate: $60–$80/hour Client: Federal Financial Institution Position Overview The client is seeking a SBA to support the implementation, testing, and transition-to-operations of a major financial system. The Consultant will work under the direction of the BOSS Program Manager and act as a key liaison between business, QA, technical, and operational support teams. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in go‑live planning , testing cycles , operational documentation , and stakeholder coordination within complex enterprise or government environments.
Key Responsibilities Production readiness planning — support planning and execution activities to ensure a smooth implementation and operational transition. Testing support — collaborate with business and QA teams to define scenarios, validate workflows, and confirm testing outcomes. Defect & gap management — identify, track, and support resolution of defects, operational gaps, and process issues.
Operational documentation — develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, support procedures, process flows, and user guides. Documentation governance — ensure all materials remain accurate and aligned with evolving solution changes. Training & knowledge transfer — create training materials and support readiness for business and operational teams.
Operational readiness enablement — ensure support teams understand workflows, escalation paths, and support expectations. Business–technical liaison — facilitate communication and issue resolution across stakeholder groups. Risk & impact assessment — identify operational impacts, dependencies, and readiness risks prior to deployment.
Readiness coordination — align business, operations, and project teams to meet implementation timelines. Go‑live & stabilization support — assist with deployment activities and early‑life operational stabilization. Testing cycle validation — support integration testing, UAT, and end‑to‑end validation to ensure business and operational requirements are met.
Perform other related activities and deliverables as required. Required Qualifications & Skills University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or related field. 5+ years supporting production readiness, go‑live planning, and operational transition for technology solutions. 3+ years supporting testing cycles (integration, UAT, end‑to‑end). Demonstrated experience developing user guides, SOPs, process documentation , and training materials.
Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to liaise between business and technical teams. Proven ability to coordinate across business, QA, technical, and operational support groups. Additional Preferred Qualifications CBAP , CCBA , or other relevant professional designations.
Experience in financial systems , enterprise implementations , or federal government environments .
