Senior Business Analyst (10+ years) to support enterprise transformation initiatives focused on IT financial processes, performance management reporting, and technology modernization Hybrid in Alberta Overview Join a high-impact strategic advisory engagement connecting IT, finance, and business stakeholders to ensure technology solutions align with operational and corporate objectives. This is not a traditional business analysis role focused solely on requirements gathering. The successful consultant will operate as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, helping shape enterprise initiatives, influence strategic decision‑making, and guide modernization efforts across financial processes, reporting, and operational transformation.

The role requires someone equally comfortable facilitating detailed working sessions and engaging executive stakeholders on business priorities, investment decisions, and organizational outcomes. Must haves 10+ years of experience in enterprise business analysis, business consulting, or transformation consulting environments Experience supporting enterprise transformation, financial process modernization, or technology‑enabled business initiatives Strong experience with requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and process mapping Experience documenting business requirements, use cases, workflows, and future‑state processes using UML and Visio Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and provide strategic, data‑driven recommendations Experience working across cross‑functional teams including business leaders, project managers, solution architects, and technical teams Experience supporting ERP integrations, enterprise applications, performance reporting, or operational process improvement initiatives Post‑secondary education in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline Nice to haves Working knowledge of PMBOK, SDLC, Agile, or Waterfall delivery methodologies Previous experience within financial services or large enterprise environments Responsibilities Act as a liaison between IT users, leaders, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment (cross‑functional collaboration) Collaborate with senior leaders and the Strategy team to develop compelling business cases for corporate initiatives that align closely with organizational goals and strategies to justify funding; support tracking of perks and value realization Evaluate potential solutions, whether through technology, process changes, or new business strategies (solution assessment) Work with leaders to support project planning, risk assessment, and ensuring deliverables meet business needs (planning) Consult with clients to gather and effectively capture complex business requirements in the form of advanced use cases Document requirements using use‑case modeling concepts Liaise with technical staff to provide the business perspective during system analysis and design phases Work with project managers to plan day‑to‑day management of business analysis, design, development, and testing tasks; assist in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules Support design and documentation of future‑state processes and data flow Work collaboratively with Functional SMEs, System Analysts, and Solution Architects to design and document data integration requirements between operational systems and core ERP systems Actively participate in project review meetings, providing status updates to the business sponsor and project manager Coordinate the efforts of other business analysts Prepare ad‑hoc reports Disclaimer: AI may be used in evaluating candidates.
