Senior Analyst, Client Finance

Overview The Senior Client Reporting Analyst reports directly to the Client Reporting Manager. This position will partner with the Finance Directors and Client Finance Leads within the Brands of Publicis North America to oversee all financial aspects related to a given client or group of clients. Analyst should have a strong understanding of general accounting principles, be self‑motivated, and have strong intra‑departmental communication skills. Responsibilities Create and review accurate Burn Reports to compare actual hours versus budget and elevate the issue to the Client Finance Lead. Partner with the accounting team to submit revenue entries during month‑end, calculating based on time & materials, percent of completion, etc.

Produce mid‑month revenue estimates (flash) to reveal client tracking for month‑end and flag significant variances; assist in setting revenue targets for assigned clients. Work with the HFM team and client finance leads to load accurate revenue forecasts for annual and rolling budgets. Reconcile revenue and client costs within the general ledger and explain variances between results and forecasts.

Reconcile time reports for missing time and coding errors. Review WIP, A/R, and accrued revenue aging monthly; ensure Client Account Teams are aware of current A/R and WIP aging status and collaborate with the CBM team for follow‑up. Ensure job setup completes properly to reduce system issues.

Verify agency compliance with contractual guidelines for each client. Assist with external and internal audits. Qualifications Resilient problem solver who identifies data or posting issues, resolves them efficiently, and knows when to seek guidance.

Can prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational abilities to follow fixed calendar cycles. Capable of working independently as well as within a team.

Dedicated to meeting others’ expectations and requirements. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions and formulas (VLOOKUP, IF, SUMIF, pivot tables, charts, and graphs). Experience in SAP and Hyperion HFM is a plus. 2–3 years of Client Finance experience, preferably within Advertising, Marketing, and Communications.
