Accounting Full Time British Columbia $75,000 - $95,000 CAD per year
NUMIS CPAs is looking for an experienced and detailedSenior Accountantto join our team! Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Senior Accountant will mainly focus on high level prep and first review of compilations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare complex compilation engagements, review engagements and various other accounting assignments
- Manage file progress and workflow
- Review working papers and support for the completion of financial statements
- Review corporate and individual tax returns
- Review sales tax returns
- Utilize technology to maximize efficiency and accuracy
- Providing ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of accounting staff
- Contribute to client satisfaction by providing clients with exceptional quality, timely and responsive services
Qualifications
- CPA Designation is preferred
- 3+ years with relevant public practice experience; with at least 1 -2 years of Senior Accountant experience
- Experience with Review & Compilations
- Experience with Caseware, CCH iFirm, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint)
- Exposure to paperless systems, including QuickBooks Online, and SharePoint considered an asset
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with the team when required
- Driven to meet simultaneous deadlines and adapt to competing priorities
