Job Description

  • Manage and process financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports and statutory financial statements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations and internal controls.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
  • Respond to queries relating to financial data, reporting and finance processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
  • Previous experience in a Financial Accountant or Senior Accountant position.
  • Strong financial reporting and reconciliation experience.
  • Demonstrated exposure to month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Experience liaising with external auditors and managing audit requirements.
  • Sound understanding of Australian accounting standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across the business.
  • Advanced Excel skills and exposure to ERP systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative finance team.
