Job Description
As a Senior Accountant, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver accurate financial reporting, accounting expertise, and timely analysis that supports informed decision-making. As part of a collaborative Finance team, you will help maintain compliance, support core finance functions, contribute to month-end and year-end activities, and ensure financial records and processes are managed accurately and efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Record and maintain day-to-day accounting transactions and accurate financial records.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, general ledger schedules, and monthly reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable activities, including invoices, reimbursements, and customer payments.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare bank reconciliations, monitor cash balances, and assist with cash flow reporting and forecasting.
- Prepare financial and management reports, analyse financial performance, and support budgeting, forecasting, and commission calculations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, and statutory reporting requirements, while supporting audit activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, maintain ERP system integrity, and contribute to process improvements across the finance function.

- Degree qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline, with CA or CPA (or progress towards completion) highly regarded.
- At least five years\' experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role, ideally within a professional services, multinational, shared services, or technology environment.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing tax and statutory obligations, including BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, GST/VAT, and related reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Navision or Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and Business Intelligence reporting capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative, service-oriented approach.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
