About the Role:

As a Senior Accountant at Ashfords, you'll work with an exciting portfolio of clients, collaborate directly with Partners, and help lead a talented offshore team. Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong experience in Australian tax and accounting for SMEs and private groups.
  • Demonstrated experience working with offshore teams.
  • Proven ability to review and compliance work (financial statements and tax returns).
  • Excellent verbal and written Communication skills
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop junior staff.

Job Responsibilities

Duties Include (but not limited to):

  • Direct management of 2–4 offshore employees across compliance and advisory support work.
  • Deliver end-to-end monthly and annual tax compliance and associated client activities.
  • Monitors and maintains high levels of practice compliance, per legislative requirements
  • Upskill offshore staff in Australian tax compliance, accounting standards, and internal systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian tax law, ATO guidance, and firm policies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in offshore-prepared work (e.g., Division 7A, trust distributions, GST, FBT).
