Overview

Senior Account Manager at Bureau Veritas manages key client relationships in the Industry & Retail portfolio, driving satisfaction, retention and growth. As the primary client interface, you coordinate commercial, operational and technical support to deliver excellent service and long-term account value. You lead governance and reviews, handle escalations, and pursue cross-sell, upsell and renewal opportunities.

You work with cross-functional teams to ensure contract commitments and service levels are met, contributing to strategic account outcomes in a compliance-led environment. This hybrid role spans Manchester, Birmingham, and London.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong client stakeholders relationships
  • Serve as primary contact for assigned accounts
  • Lead account and service governance meetings
  • Manage escalations and resolve major client issues
  • Develop and maintain account plans aligned to objectives
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth through cross-sell and upsell
  • Support contract renewals, re-tenders and commercial negotiations
  • Coordinate with Business Development and Operations to secure new opportunities
  • Ensure contractual commitments and service levels are achieved with operations teams
  • Monitor service performance and drive improvements
  • Mobilise new contracts and projects within existing accounts
  • Capture and act on client feedback
  • Maintain accurate account plans, forecasts and pipeline
  • Lead structured account reviews and track action delivery
  • Provide updates on performance, risks and opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with Bureau Veritas policies and ethics

Key requirements
  • Experience managing strategic, national or key customer accounts
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to grow and retain customer relationships
  • Experience in a service delivery or compliance-led environment
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to analyse performance data and translate insights into actions
  • Customer-focused with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach
  • Full UK driving licence
