The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with special educational needs.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and other professionals to support pupil progress.
- Monitor, assess, and record pupils' development, adapting teaching strategies where necessary.
- Promote pupils' social, emotional, and academic development while maintaining high expectations.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has proven experience teaching within a specialist SEN school setting.
- Has a strong understanding of a range of special educational needs and effective teaching strategies.
- Demonstrates excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
- Is patient, adaptable, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
- Can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
