About the role
MSS Security is seeking a Part‑Time Security Officer in Cairns. The successful candidate must hold a current NV1 Clearance and will work in a professional and supportive environment. This position is part‑time with the possibility of transition to full‑time.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, access control systems, and radio communications to maintain site safety and security.
- Manage visitor and contractor access, issue passes, and assist with site entry requirements.
- Respond to customer enquiries and communicate with emergency services and other stakeholders when required.
- Conduct foot patrols, record incidents, complete paperwork, and maintain accurate records using computer systems.
Required Skills and Experience
- Australian Citizen.
- NV1 Certificate II or higher in Security Operations.
- Current QLD Security licence.
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Availability to work a 24/7 roster without restrictions.
- Master licence: 41299 (if applicable).
