Providing specialized support within a school setting in Lake Stevens, WA, this contract position requires an experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) licensed professional to contribute 15 hours per week. The role offers flexibility regarding the days worked, accommodating personal schedules while delivering essential speech therapy services to students. The position begins immediately or in January and continues through the end of the current school year.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver speech-language pathology assistance under the guidance of onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supervisors. Implement therapy plans and exercises designed by the SLP to support student communication development. Monitor student progress and report observations to the SLP team.
Collaborate with school staff and families to foster effective communication strategies. Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student outcomes. Qualifications and Experience: SLPA license is required to practice in the school environment.
Experience in a school setting, preferably working with pediatric populations. Ability to work cooperatively with SLP supervisors and educational staff. Strong communication and organizational skills.
