Job Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Scheduling Administrator to join their team in Balbriggan on a 3-month temporary contract.

The Role The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating clinician schedules, ensuring services are delivered efficiently while maintaining patient safety and quality of care.

You will work closely with clinical teams to manage appointments, monitor service capacity and provide essential administrative support.

Key Responsibilities Plan, maintain and update clinician schedules, clinics, appointments and service activities.

Coordinate with clinical staff to organise and optimise schedules.

Ensure scheduling practices maximise clinician productivity while maintaining patient safety and quality standards.

Standardise scheduling processes across services to promote consistency and efficiency.

Respond promptly to changes in service demands by adjusting schedules as required.

Maintain accurate and timely data entry across scheduling and patient management systems.

Monitor waiting lists, bookings and service capacity.

Communicate schedule updates and changes to clinicians, families and relevant departments.

Provide general administrative support, including filing, reporting and correspondence.

Assist with the preparation of reports, statistics and performance data.

Respond to enquiries from staff, patients and service users in a professional and courteous manner.

Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures and GDPR/data protection requirements.

Essential Requirements Previous experience in an administrative or scheduling role, ideally within healthcare or a busy service environment.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.

Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). xyswxtq

Experience using scheduling, rostering or patient management systems is desirable.
