Sawmill Machine Operative | Yeovil | Up to £14.50 per hour

Consistent Monday to Friday daytime hours, no weekend work
As a Sawmill Machine Operative, your responsibilities will include:
Selecting timber boards for sawing and machining
Operating rip saws, bandsaws, beam saw and moulders to fulfil works orders
Maximising yield from every piece of timber processed
Accurately tallying sawn and machined timber onto production paperwork
Stacking, banding and labelling completed orders safely and presentably
Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe work area
As a Sawmill Machine Operative, your experience will include:
Previous experience operating machinery in a
timber
or
sawmill
environment
A relevant
certificate, diploma or degree in timber machining
(preferred, not essential)
Strong basic maths and a good standard of general education
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling of heavy timber
Forklift licence
(preferred but not essential)
A methodical, disciplined and safety focused approach to work
