SAP Test Analyst

INTERMEDIATE SAP TEST ANALYST (Procurement System Modernization) Requisition #: R26-3538 (GOAPRDJP00000959) Location: Edmonton, AB (Onsite, 5 days per week) Engagement Type: Contract Number of Resources required: 1 Rate (CAD): Up to $68.00 per hour / Commensurate with related experience and market competitiveness Term: 10 months (2026-07-20 to 2027-05-31) with 12-month extension available (up to 22-month contract) Hours per day: 7.25 Security Screening: Standard (Criminal Record Check) Project Overview Establish testing approaches for the Procurement System Modernization project, ensuring test cases reflect business requirements and development deliverables. Responsibilities Review, evaluate and provide test input during business requirements and design specification sessions. Identify and communicate testing issues and implement process improvements and issue resolution.

Define target test items and support the development and execution of test plans. Work with subject matter experts to define appropriate tests and associated test data. Gather and manage test data, evaluate outcomes of each test cycle and advise on appropriate implementation approaches.

Facilitate and manage, set up and execute tests, log outcomes, verify test execution and define exit criteria for testing. Collaborate with project team members to analyze and recover from execution errors. Track test results, statistics, metrics and status, and take appropriate actions towards completion.

Attend necessary meetings to review testing inputs/outputs and provide status updates. Support project team members in issue analysis and utilization of AI tools and/or automated testing tools. Mandatory Skills Bachelor degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience coordinating testing activities with business users, business analysts, technical teams, project managers, security teams, and third‑party vendors (4+ years). Experience executing test data, executing tests and verifying results and logging issues (4+ years).

Experience in identifying testing issues and implementing process improvement and resolutions (4+ years). Experience preparing or supporting the preparation of test plans and test cases (4+ years). Experience supporting software quality assurance, QA testing, UAT coordination, test execution support, and defect lifecycle activities in an enterprise application environment (4+ years).

Experience supporting testing or UAT activities for SAP, ERP, procurement, finance, supply chain, or other integrated enterprise systems (4+ years). Experience tracking test execution progress, defect metrics, testing status, risks, blockers, and preparing UAT dashboards or status reports for project stakeholders and management (3+ years). Experience leading and executing comprehensive testing of end‑to‑end Source‑to‑Pay processes, including validation of Ariba upstream procurement workflows and S/4HANA downstream financial integration or similar processes in other ERPs (1+ year).

Ability to organize testing activities, follow up on action items, manage competing priorities, coordinate stakeholders, and meet project timelines (Yes). Desired / Nice to Have Skills Quick learning, problem solving, troubleshooting ability, and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, management and vendors.

Experience supporting testing of system integrations, interfaces, data flows, or end‑to‑end business processes across multiple systems (2+ years). Experience understanding business requirements and translating them into test scenarios, test cases, expected results, and UAT validation activities (2+ years). Experience with SAP products such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Vendor Invoice Management (VIM), Fieldglass, or similar ERP procurement systems (2+ years).

Experience with smoke testing, unit testing, system testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (4+ years). Experience with JIRA or Revision Control System (RCS) (2+ years). Understanding of ERP implementation lifecycle, testing phases, release testing, defect lifecycle, and UAT readiness activities in enterprise projects (2+ years).
