Job Description
Position Overview Full time, permanent role. Hybrid – occasional travel to our Bristol office. The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator at Bupa Dental UK manages, maintains, and optimises the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform to ensure its security, reliability and effective support for campaign delivery, customer communications and marketing performance across the business.
Key Responsibilities Strong understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud administration and configuration. Management of users, roles, business units, permissions and platform governance. Knowledge of subscriber data, contact models, segmentation and data extensions.
Support for email, SMS and journey‑based communications. Understanding of data quality, consent and compliance requirements for customer marketing. Troubleshooting send issues, automation failures and data flow problems.
Translation of business and campaign requirements into scalable platform solutions. Administration of Marketing Cloud setup, configuration and day‑to‑day operations. Building and maintaining data extensions, filtered data extensions and audience segmentation.
Support for Automations Studio processes: imports, extracts, queries and scheduled automations. Configuration and maintenance of journeys in Journey Builder. Support for email build, content management, personalisation and send processes.
Monitoring of platform health and resolution of campaign, data and delivery‑related issues. Collaboration with stakeholders to improve processes, governance and campaign effectiveness. Maintenance of platform documentation, standards and operating procedures.
Excellent support to marketing users and campaign teams. Ensuring campaigns and customer data are managed in line with governance and compliance requirements. Close collaboration with internal stakeholders to support campaign planning and execution.
Proactive identification of opportunities to improve automation, segmentation and user experience. Support testing, release activity and change control processes. Staying current with Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities and release updates.
Qualifications Essential Hands‑on experience administering Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Experience with user setup, access control and business unit administration. Automation Studio experience, including imports, extracts, queries and scheduled automations.
Journey Builder administration and support. Data extension management, segmentation and subscriber data handling. Email operations knowledge, including send setup, deliverability awareness and troubleshooting.
Understanding of consent, preference management and data governance. Experience documenting processes, support procedures and platform standards. Strong stakeholder communication and end‑user support skills.
Desirable Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator Certification. Experience with Email Studio, Contact Builder and Mobile Studio. Working knowledge of SQL for Marketing Cloud data management and troubleshooting.
Experience integrating Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM or other enterprise platforms.Understanding of AMPscript or SSJS for troubleshooting and personalisation support. Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, dental or insurance. Knowledge of customer lifecycle marketing and campaign performance reporting.
