Responsibilities The Sales Strategy & Operations team partners directly with the sales leadership team as a trusted advisor, focusing on strategic planning, sales optimization and business operational support. You will collaborate with many cross‑functional teams such as finance, employee success, marketing, operations and others. This is a high‑impact role with constantly evolving priorities.
You will think strategically, create focused execution plans, and lead the plans to fruition. Sample projects include Go‑To‑Market planning, building Salesforce product playbooks, tooling, data quality, business planning, market segmentation, sales pipeline and business performance reviews. Successful candidates will use data to drive insights, provide strategic recommendations, build scalable assets, and guide execution and organizational change.
You will combine intuition for business, innovative inquiry, insights from sales leaders, and curiosity to uncover trends and deliver impact across the organization. Sample projects and results range from evaluating global market opportunities, building a scalable reporting infrastructure, supporting the creation of product growth strategy, market segmentation, sales pipeline and key performance metric reviews. Impact Define key performance metrics and targets, build reports and dashboards to derive insights into the health of the business, identify areas of weakness, and present improvement recommendations to sales leadership.
Perform ad‑hoc analyses across multiple data sets and tools (customer segmentation, sales participation, propensity to buy, white space, etc.). Create executive‑level presentations for local and global leadership reviews; organize quarterly business reviews. Assist in troubleshooting operational issues as they surface; propose changes to systems and processes to fix root causes.
Handle ambiguity and problem‑solve using a structured, logical approach. Exhibit strong executive presence and stakeholder management. Gather & analyze data infrastructure requirements, determine needs for new or altered products or projects, and manage conflicting stakeholder requirements.
Develop and facilitate knowledge‑management practices that enable employees to share information efficiently. Communicate a compelling business vision with clarity, passion and honesty. Apply statistical and modeling techniques (process modeling, data modeling, use case diagrams) to visually represent business requirements.
Demonstrate data literacy and attention to detail: read, understand, create and communicate data, identify, gather, formulate, calculate, analyze and derive diverse data sets, and share findings. Use critical thinking to analyze information, ideas or situations objectively and to form well‑reasoned judgments or decisions. Required Skills 2‑3+ years of professional experience in a highly analytical role or strategy department.
Advanced Excel skills, and experience with SQL and Tableau. Degree or equivalent relevant experience; abilities evaluated based on core competencies such as extracurricular leadership, military experience, volunteer roles or work experience. Preferred Skills Outstanding problem‑solving skills: consistent track record of asking questions, structuring sophisticated problems, developing solutions and recommendations.
Strong communication skills to translate complex information into digestible insights and executive presentations. Strong presentation skills, especially building compelling PowerPoint or Google Slides presentations. Resilient self‑starter with high motivation to go above and beyond.

At Salesforce, eligible employees may receive incentive compensation, equity and other benefits. Salesforce offers benefits including time‑off programs, medical, dental, vision, mental health support, paid parental leave, life and disability insurance, 401(k), and an employee stock purchasing program. The typical base salary range for this position is $80,900 – $150,300 annually.
In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan areas, the base salary range is $97,400 – $163,500 annually. The range represents base salary only and does not include company bonuses, equity or other benefits. #J-18808-Ljbffr
