This role focuses on building long-term relationships with small to mid-sized shippers through active prospecting and closing new business in support of organizational growth targets Reports To: Sales Manager Vacancy Status: Existing vacancy Responsibilities Develop and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities aligned with company goals Identify and target new customers through prospecting, referrals, research, and cold outreach Represent both asset-based (FTL/LTL) and brokerage services in a professional and strategic manner Build trust-based relationships with prospects and convert them into long-term customers Maintain detailed knowledge of market conditions, customer needs, and competitor offerings Coordinate with internal team to secure and present competitive rate offerings Negotiate and close deals with a focus on long-term value and profitability Attend industry events and leverage business development functions to build network and brand awareness Provide market feedback to the Sales Manager and contribute to strategy planning Accurately update CRM with prospect and customer activity and maintain organized follow-ups Qualifications Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience in North American transportation (brokerage and/or asset-based) Proven ability to convert prospects, close business, and meet or exceed sales targets Strong understanding of FTL, LTL, and spot market dynamics Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently or within a team High integrity, strong work ethic, and professional demeanor Proficient in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite Compensation Competitive base salary $50-$80K Base Diversity and Inclusion Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
