Position Title: Sales & Marketing Manager Department: Sales & Marketing Reporting To: Sales Director (SD) Location: Delhi Role Purpose The Sales & Marketing Coordinator will provide operational, administrative, and coordination support to the Sales Director and Regional Business Managers (RBMs) to ensure smooth execution of sales and marketing operations. The role is responsible for handling day-to-day coordination, resolving routine operational issues, facilitating communication, monitoring performance data, and supporting planning activities so that the Sales Director and RBMs can focus on strategic business growth and revenue generation. The incumbent will act as a key liaison between Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Logistics, MIS, Finance, and HR functions to ensure timely issue resolution and seamless operational support.
Key Responsibilities 1. Sales Management Implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue and GP targets. Monitor territory-wise sales performance and ensure target achievement through field teams and distributors and report difficulties to SD.
Help RBM to expand distribution networks including stockists, wholesalers, retailers, and modern trade channels. Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify business opportunities. Conduct regular sales reviews to SD and implement corrective action plans where required.
Ensure effective secondary sales generation, market coverage and POSM usage. 2. Marketing Management Execute planned marketing campaigns for OTC products to improve brand visibility and prescription generation and gather feedback from the market and report the impact to SD Report competitor sales promotional inputs, trade schemes, visibility programs, and customer engagement activities. Help to create with marketing GTM and Help RBMs to implement GTM and report feedback. 3.
Team Management Lead, train, motivate, and monitor the sales team. Set KPIs for team members and conduct periodic performance evaluations. Support field staff through market visits, coaching, and joint working . 4.
Communication & Coordination Act as a communication bridge between the Sales Director and Regional Business Managers. Ensure timely dissemination of business updates, instructions, policies, and action points. Track implementation and follow-up on decisions taken during sales meetings and reviews.
Coordinate meetings, reviews, and periodic sales discussions as required. Should be hands on with advance Excel; Power Point. Knowing AI is huge plus.
Have the ability to write reports in English 5. New Employee Induction & Process Support Support onboarding and induction of new sales recruits regarding company policies, systems, processes, reporting structures, and standard operating procedures. Assist in ensuring adherence to organisational policies and compliance requirements. 6.
Planning & Administrative Support Assist in preparation of sales plans, review mechanisms, and operational calendars. Support the Sales Director in organizing sales meetings, monthly reviews, and business presentations. Maintain proper documentation and records related to sales operations and coordination activities.
Plan and executive sales training calendars in coordination with training department-HR Key Deliverables / KPIs Timely closure of operational issues raised by RBMs. Accuracy and timeliness of reports, MIS, and dashboards. Effective coordination between departments for issue resolution.
Timely communication and follow-up of action items. Smooth onboarding and induction of new sales team members. Improved operational efficiency enabling Sales Director and RBMs to focus on strategic priorities.
Additional Responsibility: Undertake regular field visits to support RBMs, assess operational bottlenecks, monitor execution effectiveness, and provide timely feedback to the Sales Director. Travel Requirement The role requires extensive field travel of approximately 15 days per month across assigned regions to support Regional Business Managers (RBMs), understand field-level operational challenges, facilitate coordination, monitor implementation, and ensure effective execution of sales and marketing initiatives. The incumbent will be expected to accompany RBMs periodically, participate in market visits, distributor/retailer interactions (where applicable), and support field execution and review mechanisms.
Required Qualifications Graduate in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Pharma or related field. MBA/PGDM in Marketing or Sales preferred. Experience 3β7 years of experience in sales coordination, sales operations, business coordination, MIS, or related functions.
Experience in FMCG, healthcare, pharma, education, retail, or distribution-driven organisations preferred. Required Skills & Competencies Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills. Good analytical and reporting capability.
Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MIS/reporting skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Problem-solving and issue resolution ability.
High level of organisation, follow-up, and attention to detail. Ability to work across multiple teams and manage priorities. Authority Matrix The Sales & Marketing Coordinator shall handle routine operational and coordination matters within defined authority and escalate policy, financial, strategic, or unresolved issues to the Sales Director.
