Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Sales Manager will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and building a highâperforming sales function. The successful candidate will lead business development efforts, secure new client partnerships, manage the full sales cycle, and develop scalable sales processes.
As the first dedicated sales leadership hire, this individual will have the unique opportunity to build and mentor a future sales team while working closely alongside executive leadership to execute strategic growth initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue growth and expand market presence. Manage the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with business owners, executives, and key decisionâmakers. Consult with prospective clients to understand their business objectives and recommend tailored marketing and growth solutions. Educate clients on services including digital marketing, branding, website development, search engine optimization (SEO), advertising strategies, lead generation, and business growth initiatives.
Create and implement sales processes, performance metrics, forecasting practices, and reporting structures to support sustainable growth. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute business development strategies. Identify new market opportunities and develop plans to increase client acquisition and retention.
Recruit, mentor, and develop future sales team members as the department expands. Monitor sales performance and ensure revenue objectives are consistently achieved or exceeded. Represent the organization professionally at networking events, client meetings, and industry functions as required.
Education Bachelorâs degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline. Combination of education and relevant industry experience will also be considered. Qualifications Demonstrated understanding of marketing strategy, brand development, digital advertising, lead generation, and client acquisition principles.
Proven ability to communicate complex business solutions to a diverse range of stakeholders. Strong understanding of consultative sales methodologies and relationshipâbased selling. Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales leadership, or strategic account management.
Minimum 5 years of experience within a marketing agency, advertising agency, digital agency, or related professional services environment is required. Proven success selling highâvalue businessâtoâbusiness (B2B) services, retainers, or consulting engagements. Experience building, scaling, or leading sales teams is considered a strong asset.
Track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets in a growthâfocused environment. Skills Leadership: Ability to inspire, mentor, and develop highâperforming sales professionals. Business Development: Strong prospecting, networking, and relationshipâbuilding capabilities.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and educate clients. Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify opportunities, assess market conditions, and develop effective growth strategies. Accountability: Highly selfâmotivated and comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.
Analytical Ability: Strong understanding of sales metrics, forecasting, reporting, and performance measurement. Adaptability: Thrives in entrepreneurial environments where priorities evolve and initiative is rewarded. Base Salary Base Salary: $80,000 per year + Commission Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission structure, offering significant earning potential for high performers.
Comprehensive health and dental benefits. Minor share in the company that will pay dividends. Work Hours Monday through Thursday inâoffice, Friday remote.
Typical office hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility to accommodate individual scheduling preferences. Occasional local client meetings or networking events may be required. Additional Notes This opportunity does not include relocation.
