I am working with a leading UK freight and logistics business with a strong reputation and an expanding presence across the UK. Backed by decades of industry experience, an extensive European footprint, and a well-connected global network, the company offers both stability and genuine long-term opportunity. They are now looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across Air, Sea, and Road Freight .
The role will involve: Developing new business in line with agreed commercial targets Generating opportunities through self-sourced activity, warm leads, and existing networks Building and maintaining strong client relationships Identifying growth opportunities across customers, services, and trade lanes Keeping up to date with market trends and competitor activity Working closely with operational teams to support a smooth transition from sale to service delivery Package on offer: Basic salary of £45,000 to £65,000 Commission structure Company car or car allowance 28 days holiday plus bank holidays Private healthcare The ideal background: Proven experience selling Air, Sea, and Road Freight services Strong new business focus with the ability to develop opportunities independently Confident communication skills, both in person and over the phone Self-motivated, proactive, and commercially aware A good understanding of the importance of service, relationship management, and client retention This is an excellent opportunity for a freight sales professional looking to join a recognised international operator with a strong market presence and a supportive platform for growth.
