Job Summary We are seeking a driven Sales Engineer to join our Illinois team, focusing on the Chicago area territory. This role is ideal for a motivated professional eager to build a strong book of business, engage with clients, and grow within a reputable organization. You will identify client needs, provide tailored solutions, and drive sales of machine tools and related equipment.

While we anticipate future opportunities for Applications Managers and Service Technicians, our immediate priority is this Sales Engineer position. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain client relationships through in-person meetings to assess needs and recommend machine tool solutions. Prospect new business and nurture existing accounts to generate sales margins.

Collaborate with the team to refine territory strategies and support company growth. Travel within the assigned territory to meet clients. Required Qualifications 1-5 years of relevant experience in sales (particularly capital equipment or tooling), service technician roles, application engineering, or transferable skills from adjacent industries.

Strong motivation and a proactive attitude with the ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients at all levels. Willingness to embrace a commission-heavy compensation structure.

Flexibility to travel within the Chicago-area territory. Compensation and Benefits We offer competitive compensation plans for performance-driven individuals. $60,000 base salary plus 10% commission with opportunities to get up to 20%. Target performance includes generating $500,000 in sales margins, with higher earnings for exceeding targets (e.g., $750,000+ unlocks incentives).
