Location: Kent, WA (50% Travel, Full-Time) Company Overview Redwood Outdoors is a fast-growing e-commerce company specializing in premium Sauna and Cold Plunge products designed to bring the wellness benefits of heat and cold therapy to homes in the USA. Position Overview The Sales Director leads Redwood Outdoors’ national sales organization, overseeing Inside Sales and multiple retail showroom locations while owning overall sales performance. This role manages leaders, drives process improvement, and supports showroom expansion through hiring, training, and launch execution, with up to 50% travel.
Key Responsibilities Own the performance and growth of all sales channels, including Inside Sales (phone-based team) and multiple retail showroom locations nationwide. Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing sales organization by managing managers across inside sales and showroom teams. Establish and drive clear sales goals, KPIs, and accountability standards across all teams to consistently achieve revenue targets.
Partner closely with Operations, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to optimize lead flow, conversion, customer experience, and forecasting. Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable sales processes, systems, and training programs that support growth across channels. Serve as the hiring manager for new showroom locations, including workforce planning, interviewing, onboarding, and leadership development.
Oversee new showroom expansion, including market analysis, site visits, location scouting, and collaboration on lease evaluation and negotiations. Lead showroom launch efforts, including sales team training, operational readiness, and early performance ramp-up. Travel up to 50% of the time to support showroom teams, manager development, store openings, and cross‑functional initiatives.
Analyze performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and translate insights into actionable improvement plans. Champion a strong coaching culture focused on execution excellence, team engagement, and customer‑centered selling. Qualifications 8+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, including responsibility for multi‑channel or multi‑location sales teams.
Proven success leading and developing managers and senior‑level leaders overseeing distributed teams. Experience owning revenue performance across both inside sales and physical retail or showroom environments. Demonstrated ability to build scalable sales processes and drive operational improvements in a high‑growth environment.
Direct experience launching new locations, showrooms, or sales teams, including hiring, training, and performance ramp. Strong business acumen with experience analyzing sales metrics, forecasting, and using data to drive decisions. Comfortable with significant travel (approximately 50%) to support teams and expansion initiatives.
Exceptional communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills. Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to balance strategic planning and day‑to‑day execution. Experience partnering cross‑functionally with marketing, operations, and executive leadership.
Work Schedule Full time, Monday – Friday Work Location On‑site at 20730 72nd Ave S, Kent, WA 98032 (estimated travel 50% of the time) Compensation As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into this position.
